If the internet has changed careers, has theory caught up?

Yesterday I did a presentation at the annual AGCAS Technology Update on Technology and Theory from a careers perspective. It was a really good day and I thoroughly enjoyed putting together the material and delivering it, here are the slides:

  1. Looks like a fantastic session – wish I could have been there! Hopefully catch some of your future work in this area though – technology is such a key part of our work in the Highlands and Islands because of working across such a large area.

    • Hi Rosie. Yes I bet is most come in handy in that way. Have you thought about it much in terms of your research? Does technology change how people understand their location and so their identity? Does it help support transitions from island communities?
