Plato’s “The Cave” and Careers Work

I enjoyed watching this video recently about careers work about Plato’s The Cave. It prompted a number of questions about careers work I thought I would share.

1) What metaphors might we use to describe career/ life? What benefits might thease metaphors have?

2) How can the idea of ignorance in captivity help us with careers work? How could it be implied to ourselves as well as those we work with?

3) How can thinking about language and forms help us with concepts in careers work?

4) What analogies can be drawn between philosophical inquiry and careers work/ development?

Would love to hear your thoughts and anything else this talk provoked for you.
